Dr. Paul Petelin, an eye surgeon and founder of the center, received his medical degree from the University of Arizona and completed his Ophthalmology training at Emory University, one of the nation's most prestigious programs. Dr. Petelin is uniquely qualified, being one of only a handful of Fellowship trained eye surgeons specializing in corneal refractive surgery. He received this training in Kansas City with one of the country's top ophthalmologists. Dr. Petelin offers a wide range of eye care services, including elective procedures such as LASIK and Premium Lens implants to eliminate or reduce the dependency on glasses after cataract surgery.
Scottsdale Center for Sight is proud to welcome Dr. Stanley Shorb, a Retinal Specialist, to their practice. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Shorb is a specialist in diseases of the eye, including conditions affecting the retina. His unique background with regards to the treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, as well as other diseases or conditions affecting the retina such as retinal tears or retinal holes, is a valuable addition to the center.
The practice offers dropless cataract surgery, a new and innovative approach to cataract surgery that eliminates the need for eye drops after the procedure.
