The Goltschman Sturm Eye Center - Florissant Surgery Center

The Eye Center has been a leader in the treatment of eye diseases and cataract surgery for over fifty years. Dr. Julie M. Sturm is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in the areas of the cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. She is a native of St. Louis and a graduate of Visitation Academy. Dr. Sturm completed a fellowship at the prestigious Assil-Sinskey Eye Institute in Los Angeles, California, where she received more specialized training in refractive surgical procedures such as LASIK, refractive cataract surgery, and implantable contact lenses. She was one of the first fellows in the country to implant the Verisyse™ implantable contact lens upon receiving FDA approval.

Dr. Thomas Stickel has been a part of The Eye Center since 2002. He manages and treats eye diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Stickel is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). After graduating from college with degrees in Spanish and Pre-Optometry, Dr. Stickel attended the Indiana University School of Optometry. He has also served as a guest lecturer at the UMSL School of Optometry.

Dr. Mark Reddan is an optometrist who has been practicing in the Saint Louis area for over thirty eight years. He is experienced in diagnosing, managing, and treating ocular disease as well as specializing in contact lens management. Dr. Reddan is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. He has had extensive training with specialists in many areas of medical eye care, including management of cataract and laser surgery patients as well as patients with retinal or corneal conditions.

The Eye Center provides services such as cataract surgery, glaucoma care, LASIK and refractive surgery, and contact lenses. They also offer eye wellness services to emphasize lifelong ocular health. The doctors at The Eye Center employ advanced diagnostic and treatment options to help tame the burning, stinging, and blurred vision often caused by dry eye and blepharitis.
