Jack Dodick MD

Manhattan LASIK and cataract surgeon Dr. Jack Dodick is a highly respected and experienced eye surgeon in New York City. He is the Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the NYU School of Medicine and has served as president of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Dodick is a pioneer in the field of cataract surgery, one of the first US eye surgeons to use intraocular implants after cataract surgery. Dr. Dodick has served as president for various ophthalmologic organizations, notably the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS). Dr. Dodick also pioneered an exchange program for Cuban and American ophthalmologists while serving as chairman of the ASCRS International Relations Committee. In other international efforts, Dr. Dodick also moderated a 2000 summit between the ASCRS and its European counterpart, the ESCRS, on emerging refractive surgery technologies.
