Dr. Shabatian is a distinguished physician with an impressive academic background. He earned his Bachelors of Science at the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating with top honors of summa cum laude. He then earned his Medical Degree at the prestigious Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency training in New York at North Shore – Long Island Jewish Hospital, affiliates of New York University Medical Center and Albert Einstein School of Medicine. He was chosen to serve as the Chief Resident in his final year of residency. Dr. Shabatian then completed a sub-specialty Fellowship training in Medical Diseases of Vitreous and Retina at SUNY Downstate / Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
